If Sybil is moving on the ground and then immediately moves in the opposite direction, she will skid along the ground while her speed decreases to zero. If a jump is performed during this she will perform a skid jump and will gain more height than a regular jump. Skid Jumps are a vital part of performing an [[Ultra Jump]].

The more speed she has during a skid jump, the higher (and farther) she will be able to jump.

=== Without Solar Wind ===

If Sybil performs a skid jump with speed greater than approximately 820, a blue trail will follow her and she will gain the maximum height that she can, (although she only needs around 790 to actually achieve max height).[1]

=== With Solar Wind ===

If Sybil has Solar Wind, then she can achieve even greater height if she skid jumps with a speed of approximately 910, and a gold trail will follow her.

=== Differences between patches ===

If playing on Full Gold Patch (before ver 1.27..) Sybil can get achieve this "Full Gold" Skid Jump regardless of whether she has Solar Wind or not.
