An Ultra jump, often referred to simply as an "Ultra" or "Ultra Hop" is one of, if not the most important speedrun tech in Pseudoregalia. There are a few variations of it and it allows sybil to perform very high jumps in any direction.

An ultra generally refers to the act of performing a max height Skid Jump in combination with a Gainer to get massive height in any direction.

Simple Ultra

If Sybil is moving fast in the air and performs a Gainer the moment she touches the ground, she will perform an Ultra Jump.

Slide Ultra

If Sybil has the Slide Ability, she can perform an Ultra completely from the ground using a slide cancel. The speed gained from the slide is preserved during the slide cancel and used to get a really good skid jump.

The inputs to perform a Slide Ultra are as follows:

  1. Slide
  2. While holding backwards, jump to cancel the slide and start a Skid
  3. Immediately hold forwards (or any direction) and jump again during the Skid/Gainer

If struggling, try just doing backwards Slide Ultras to start, to get a feeling for the timing of the jump inputs. Then when you are comfortable getting at least blue trails this way, try working in the direction change.
